These conditions govern access to Erie County Criminal History, a privately run reference resource for Erie County and New York record channels. 1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files documents for a visitor.

Its role is to identify the Erie County Sheriff, the proper criminal court, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry, while also providing access to third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information found here or through a linked tool to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. New York Correction Law Article 6-C governs public dissemination from the New York State Sex Offender Registry, and criminal misuse may be prosecuted. Registry information serves lawful safety awareness, not vigilantism or discriminatory action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally regulated check must come from an authorized official channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.
